DWD is delighted to host a public presentation at Riverview Community Centre by renowned ethicist, Professor Arthur Schafer. Professor Schafer is the Director of the Centre for Professional and Applied Ethics at the University of Manitoba. He is also a Full Professor in the University's Department of Philosophy and an Ethics Consultant for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, Department of Child Health. Professor Schafer has been a prominent researcher and voice within the assisted-dying debate for several decades. In his presentation, Professor Schafer will discuss the evolution of the debate over the past 50 years, and he will highlight the debate's central issues and arguments.
