Learning Tree Daycare is located in Transcona, on Horton Ave West. We currently have one full time Teacher's or regular spot available for January. Teacher's spot is based on a school schedule. Open inservices, closed winter and spring break. Great for anyone who works in a school division and does not want to pay daycare fees in the summer. Regular spot is available year round, closed only over Christmas Holidays. New location now has large fenced yard and a large designated play area.
Parents can expect exceptional, quality care in a nurturing home environment. Children spend their days playing, exploring, and learning their ABC's, 123's, and Do Re Mi's! Enrichment activities offered include alphabet and story time, counting, colors, sign language, arts and crafts, and exposure to classical music. Foundational early learning concepts such as good manners, following directions, and playing well with others are taught as well. During warm weather, our days are filled with trips to parks to build gross motor skills and get plenty of fresh air and sunshine!
You can rest easy knowing your child will have the perfect balance of educational activity as well as time to "Just Be A Kid." We spend 30mins to 1 hour each morning and afternoon using a mix of several wonderful curriculums designed or modified for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. From 0-5 years old your baby or young child is like a little sponge and just hungry to learn. If presented in a fun and loving way children have the ability to learning almost anything.
Things we like to focus on are:
- Counting (1-10, 1-20, 1-50, 1-100, backwards and skip counting)
- Alphabet
- Phonics
- Shapes (2D and 3D)
- Reading (With programs like Little Reader, Hooked on Phonics, Wink to Learn, flashcards)
- Music Sight Reading and Perfect Pitch (With a program called Little Reader)
- Geography (Learning about the world and our country)
- American Sign Language
- and much more

Hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm
As an unlicensed provider with over 9 years of experience working with children, I have a clean background check and CPR/First Aid certification.
