- Our On Call Manager works with a team of casual Disability Support Workers who are responsible to provide supports to people receiving services as the need arises. This position is a combination of administration and direct support with a focus on the hiring, scheduling and ongoing team development. This position will appeal to someone who is highly relational, a self-starter, organized and works with ingenuity.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
-Degree in Social Sciences and / or Disability and Community Support Diploma.
-Previous experience supporting individuals living with an intellectual disability.
-Previous management experience will be considered a strong asset.
-Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
-Demonstrated leadership skills.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand, problem solve and respond to various situations.
-Ability to manage situations requiring an urgent response and focus on solution based thinking under pressure.
-Must be creative and innovative.
-Demonstrated ability to advocate and promote self-advocacy.
-A current Manitoba Driver's licence and use of personal vehicle(required).
-Current First Aid certification.
Successful applicants will be asked to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and both a Child and Adult Abuse Registry check upon hire at their own expense.
